Contributed by David Fridley1. No. 95, Luanna Booth. Should be 'wife of William C. Booth'. Luanna's
maiden name was Sowers, and married William C. Booth on 12 March 1835 in
Floyd Co., VA. [Floyd Marriages]
2. No. 96, William C. Booth. 12 Dec 1856 is his date of death, not birth.
Given his age at death, his birthdate would be calculated as 6 Feb 1814.
William C. Booth was the son of Daniel and Sarah (McAlexander) Booth.
3. No. 97, Isaac Booth. His date of death should read 3 May 1855, not birth
on 3 May 1858. His death is recorded in Montgomery Co. in 1855 and notes:
"from injuries in fall from buggy at Pilot Mtn, ae 69". I also have his
probate papers which are dated 7 May 1855. On old stones, 5 and 8 are easily
confused in reading. Isaac was born in Dutchess Co., NY, and came as a boy
with his parents Isaac (Sr) and Freelove Booth to Montgomery Co. Isaac (Sr)
was the son of George Booth (1737-1813), pioneer settler in Montgomery and
Floyd Cos, and ancestor of most of the Booths in these counties (George was
father of Daniel, who was father of William C. Booth, above)
4. No. 98, Nancy Booth. She was born Nancy McAlexander, and was the first
wife of Isaac Booth, married 3 May 1807 in Patrick Co, VA. Isaac remarried
to Docia Radford in Franklin Co, VA in 1843.
