Harvey Henry GIGER was born on 4 Jul 1858 in Hemlock Township, Columbia County, PA.⁹ He died of angina pectoris on 24 Jun 1930 in Bloomsburg Hospital, Bloomsburg, Columbia Co, PA.¹² He was buried on 26 Jun 1930 in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, Columbia Co, PA.¹² Harvey Henry GIGER and Harriet Elizabeth REIMARD were married on 12 Sep 1878 in Bloomsburg, PA by Reverend J.P. Tustin.

37. Harriet Elizabeth REIMARD was born in Jun 1852 in Columbia Co, PA.⁹ She died of uterine cancer on 28 Feb 1929 in Columbia Co, PA. She was buried on 4 Mar 1929 in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, Columbia Co, PA.¹⁸ I have a copy of her death certificate. It lists Isaac Reimard as the father, born in PA. No information known for her mother. Informant is her husband. I have also obtained copies of 2 marriage announcements.

I have researched the names, Reimard, Rimerd, Reimer, Rimer, Rhymer, Rhinard, Rhinhard, Reimert, and Reinard without success. One contact that I have been working with on the Giger family suggested that Harriet came from the Berwick / Briar Creek area of the county. Although there are several families in that area with similar names, I haven't found anything conclusive. I have also tried looking in Montour and Luzerne counties. I thought I may have found something promising in the Nescopeck area, but was not able to confirm.

All of the real records I have been able to find say she is originally from the Columbia Co area. Children were:

George Wesley GIGER was born on 18 Sep 1881 in Bloomsburg, Columbia Co, PA. He died of myocarditis, secondary to chronic nephritis on 30 Apr 1935 in Bloomsburg Hospital, Bloomsburg, Columbia Co, PA.¹² He was buried on 2 May 1935 in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, Columbia Co, PA.

Harvey H. GIGER⁷ was born on 1 Oct 1890 in Bloomsburg, Columbia Co, PA. He died on 18 Sep 1973. He was buried on 21 Sep 1973 in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, Columbia Co, PA. was electrocuted while working for the Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. The shock put him into a coma. He recovered after some time, but had permanent mental impairment due to the accident.
