The marriage record of  Andries Andriessen on 17 Oct 1655 in the Dutch Reform Church of New Amsterdam says he is from "Westroos" in Sweden. (1) He married "Wits Wytes, van Coudum in Vrieslant." However, in the baptismal records for their children she is named as "Niesie Hytes." Together, they baptized 7 children. (2) However, four of their children may have died young.  When his wife Niesie made her will in 1716, she referred to "her oldest daughter, Maritie Koningh." The only other people named in her will were, Johannes Van Pelt and Johannes Poel, sons of her daughter Triete. (3) Other than these two daughters, Maritie and Trietje, the only other of their children that seems to have survived childhood was Huybert Andriessen.  He was a witness to the baptism of his sister Maritie's son Abraham in 1694. (4)
Andries Andriessen must have died sometime before February 1682 as Niesje remarried to John Vigne on 15 Feb 1682. Their three known living children at that time were Maritie aged 18, Tietje aged 13 and Huybert aged 10. (1) John was also known as John Van Gee and owned considerable land in New York.  He wrote his will on 2 Feb 1688/9 and died 21 Dec 1689, just 7 years after his marriage to Niesie.  In his will he named his heirs: children of his first wife and children of his deceased sisters, nephews, etc.. However he made no mention of his current wife, Niesie, or her three children. (5)
As stated. Niesje wrote her will on 24 Jun 1716. Her estate was probated in 1722. (3)
