Josiah was a Green Mountain Boy. He fought at the Battle of Hubbardton and
was present at the taking of Fort Ticonderoga with Ethan Allen (also from CT)
His wife Molly Cole (we haven't been able to trace her background) "rendered
valuable service for the Americans in carrying general news" during the
Revolution and was given 160 acres in Poultney for her service.
