Esther Tuttle was born 9 Apr 1672. (1)  She married Samuel Russell on 27 Feb 1694. (2) They had ten children.  However, four of their first six children died in infancy between 1701-1704.  Two of their children, Joseph and Ralph, died about two months apart in 1704.  Her husband died 26 Jun 1724.  Esther Russell was in court 3 Aug 1724 promising to make inventory on her husband's estate before "first Monday of October next."  She signed with her mark. (3)  Esther survived for several more years.  The last record we have of her was in 1740 when Thomas Robinson, Matthew Rowe, Nathaniel Barnes, John Howell, Esther Russell and Abel Russell agreed to divide land formerly belonging to Samuel Russell.
