Apoplexy Fatal to Mrs. Mack;
Funeral Sunday
Helt’s Prairie Woman Dies at the Age of 81
Mrs. A.L. MACK,
81 years old, died yesterday at her home 5 miles north of Clinton after
being confined to bed for the last two weeks after being stricken with
apoplexy. She is survived by the husband, three sons, Eschol, Roy and
Forest and four daughters; Miss Glenn Mack, Mrs. A.W. French, Mrs. S.B.
Miller, and Mrs. H.B. Shields.
The funeral services will be held Sunday
afternoon at 2 o’clock with burial in Salem Cemetery, north of Clinton.
Mrs. Mack was born and reared in the Helt’s
Prairie neighborhood and lived all her life there with the exception of 5
years spent in Newport. Before her marriage she was Isabel White. She
and her husband celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last October
21. Mr. Mack was 82 and his wife 80 at the time of the celebration.
