Earl BROWNING, 72, died Friday at Ft. Knox Hospital after a lingering illness. Survivors are the wife, the former Miss Montie CAMPBELL of Dixon; one son, John Richard of Philadelphia PA; two granddaughters; and a brother, Mace Browning of El Paso TX. Funeral services were held Monday morning at Cralle Funeral Home in Louisville, with the Ft. Knox chaplain, Capt. Don R. TROWBRIDGE, officiating, assisted by Presbyterian minister Arthur HALL. Burial was in Zachary Taylor Cemetery. Mrs. Luke OSBORN of Corydon; Mrs. Claude BAILEY and son Allen, of Henderson; Mrs. A.B. COLLEY of Owensboro; and Mr. and Mrs. Cosby CAMPBELL of Dixon attended the funeral. Mr. Browning was a brother-in-law of Mr. Campbell and a frequent visitor in Dixon. Mr. Earl D. BROWNING, age 62, a resident of East Pineville, Ky.; passed away Friday, April 24, 1987 at his home. He was born December 8, 1924 in Bell County, Ky., the son of the late John BROWNING and Sadie RICE BROWNING who survives. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the East Pineville Baptist Church. He is survived by: his mother, Mrs. Sadie RICE EBRIGHT, Covington, Ky., two children: Norman BROWNING and Carol BROWNING, both of Albany, Ga., two brothers: G.C. BROWNING and C. M. BROWNING, both of Covington, Ky., two grandchildren. Services for Mr. Browning were at 2 p.m. Monday, April 27, 1987 at Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ellis HOSKINS. Burial followed in the Browning Cemetery, (Laurel Hill), Pineville, Ky. Friends of the family served as pallbearers. Durham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
