ROBERT C. BATEMAN

Robert Christy Bateman was born August 6, 1861, in Morgan County, Illinois. He was a farmer and appears to have lived in that area his whole life. He married Lula May Hall on February 18, 1891, in Morgan County. Lula was born May 15, 1871, and died April 18, 1912. Robert died December 2, 1926. Both are buried at Arcadia Cemetery in Morgan County, Illinois.

Robert and Lula Bateman had three children:

1.1 Omer C. married Celia L. Mosher in Rock Island County, Illinois, on October 7, 1891.

1.2. Ivan D.was born October 1890, and died December 8, 1975, in Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois. His wife Mamie A. was born in 1895 and died in 1970. They lived in Milan, Illinois. Both are buried in Walnut Ridge cemetery, Cass County, Illinois.

1.3. Lillian married Leo H. Barber and lived in Literbery, Illinois.
