Source:  Thomas White Collection of Monroe County;  In an old trunk in the attic of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Black, Vonore, Monroe Co., Tennessee, there has recently come to light a veritable treasury of letters and papers, dating from 1776. Mrs. Black is a descendant of Thomas White, who came to Monroe Co. in the 1820's, and his wife Jane Young White.  Some of these papers belonged to Josiah I. Wright, an attorney of Monroe County, and a son-in-law of Thomas White. Letters to and from his clients and the Pension Office are sources of information about many Monroe County citizens.  19 May 1860; Letter from A.T. Haun, Springfield, MO to J. I.
