TENTH GENERATION

654. John ROGERS was born about 1696.  He signed a will on 12 May 1758 in Stafford Co., VA. 158  The Will of John Rogers of Stafford County, was dated May 12, 1758 and proved Jun 11, 1760.

    Will of John Rogers , Stafford Co., VA WB (Liber O) 12 July 1748-July Court 1767, Pgs 379-80: 

     In the Name of God Amen I John Rogers of County of Stafford being sick but of perfect memory.  Do make this my last will & Testament.

    I give to my Son Grigsby Rogers , two shillings & six pence Sterling:

    Item I give to my Daughter Mary Colclough two shillings and six pence Sterling to be paid to the said children soon as it can be raised out of my Estate by my Executor.

    Item I give to my son William Rogers the remainder of my Estate, as also I desire that my Estate be not appraised and lastly I appoint William Rogers my only & sole Executor.

    He died before 11 Jun 1760 in Stafford Co., VA.159 He married to Mary NEWTON about 1719.159  

655. Mary NEWTON was born about 1696.  Mary was the daughter of Benjamin Newton (abt 1669-aft 3 Jan 1709/10) and his wife, Mary Ann Grigsby (abt 1675-23 Apr 1747.)

Children were:

Grigsby ROGERS158 was born about 1722.  Executor of the will of his Grandmother Mary Meese in 1747.   He may have been 21 or better then.
child iii.
William ROGERS158 was born about 1724.
