     Chester Millslagle was born on 2 March 1886 in Iowa.^1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Peter Andrew Millslagle and Hester Elizabeth Quiggle. Chester, age 8, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1895 Iowa State Census in Shiloh, Grundy County, Iowa.⁶ Chester, age 24, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1910 Federal Census in Jackson, Warren County, Iowa.⁷ Chester worked as a farmer.⁸ Follow the link to see the census image. Chester, age 33, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1920 Federal Census in Jackson Township, Warren County, Iowa.⁹ Chester worked as a laborer on a home farm (was it his father's farm?) in 1920.⁹ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Chester, age 44, was enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census in Jackson Twp. He is renting his farm and he owns a radio.¹⁰ Chester worked as a farmer on a general farm who works on his own account. Follow the link to see the census image.
          Chester died in December 1965.² According to the SSDI, his last residence was in Iowa.¹¹ His Social Security Number was 566-30-2305 and was issued in California.¹¹ He was 79 years old. He is the 2nd great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
