George Quiggle was born on 20 June 1833 in Pennsylvania.1
George married Mary Drusilla Northrup, daughter of Theodorus Bailey Northrup and Sally Ann Pratt, on 13 July 1856 in Shelbyville, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. He was 23 and she was 21.2
George and Mary had 6 children. These children are Hester Elizabeth, Alexander K., William T., Alexander A., John E. and George E..2,3
Sometime between 1860 and 1865, George and Mary moved to Hardin County, Iowa.
George died on 22 February 1869.2
He was 35 years old.
George is the earliest known progenerator for this family.
