Emma Hoover was born circa 1902 in Indiana.^1,2 She was the daughter of Lawrence Hoover and Sophia (?).¹ Emma, age 18, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1920 Federal Census in North Bend Township, Starke County, Indiana.³ Follow the link to see the census image. Her married name was Emma Milslagle but her husband's name is unknown.⁴ George Milslagle may be the husband of Emma Hoover. They are both listed as married on the 1930 census records but neither one is living with a spouse and they both were enumerated in Indiana.⁵ Emma was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1930 Federal Census in N. Bend Twp. Her son, Donald, age 2 years, also lives here. She is listed as married but her husband has not been enumerated with them.¹ Follow the link to see the census image. Emma and Emma may be the same person. Their birthdates are similar. It will take research to determine if they are the same people or not.
