Raphiel L. Hoover was born circa 1911 in Indiana.² He was the son of Lawrence Hoover and Sophia (?).¹ Raphiel, age 9, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1920 Federal Census in North Bend Township, Starke County, Indiana.
