     Daniel Harison Milslagle was born circa 1893 in Illinois.^1,2 He was the son of Levi Richard Milslagle and Lavina Smith.³ Daniel, age 18, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1910 Federal Census at 514 N. Perkins in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois. He works as a teamster.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image. Daniel married Lucille Jane Gardner circa 1915.^3,5,6 He was about 22 years old and she was about 19. Daniel and Lucille had 6 children. These children are Daniel Harrison, Ethel Louise, Richard H., Emmett Theodore, Margaret Ann and Helen Louise.³
          Daniel, age 27, and Lucille, age 23, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census at 514 Perkins in Kewanee. Also enumerated in this household were two children, Daniel (age 2 years and 3 months) and Richard (less than one year old). Daniel (Sr.)'s brother, Curry Milslagle, was also living with them. They are renting their home.⁷ Daniel worked as a boilermaker in a boiler shop.⁷ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Daniel, age 37, and Lucille, age 34, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at 419 N. Nest in Kewanee. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Daniel (age 12), Richard (age 10), Helen (age 8), Ethel (age 2 and 6 months), and Emmett (age 5 months). The house they own was worth $3000 and they own a radio set.⁸ He still works as a boiler maker.⁸ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Daniel died on 12 December 1937 in East Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois.^9,10 He was about 44 years old. He is the 3rd great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
