William McKay Dotts was a cattleman he ran large numbers of longhorncattle. He was also president of one of the banks in Bluejacket, OK. They livedat Timberhill Community near Bluejacket, IT, OK. He was born in Ohio andwhen grown moved to Oklahoma. His brother Daniel Dotts gave William'sdaughter Leah Dotts and her husband Robert Paul Coats his farm on which to live andraise their nine children. This residence was refered to as the Rock House,because the house was made completelyof rock.

on the 1870 census in OH he is listed as 12 years of age which would give him a birth year of 1858 but on his tombstone the birth year is 1861
William married Louisa May Holliman, daughter of Ira E. Holliman and Sarilda (Sarelda) Hart, about 1900. (Louisa May Holliman was born on 10 May 1873 in Anderson County, Kansas and died in 1949 in Bluejacket, Craig, OK.)
