Eliza Lucinda Harlan is of Cherokee descent not exceeding 1/4 Cherokee blood. Although today the BIA calculation of the blood quantum is in dispute.The BIA records are based on Nancy Ward being 1/2 Cherokee. Eliza Harlan was the great grand daughter of Nancy Ward and Kingfisher. She is buried at Craig Cemetery, Jefferson Township in Johnson County Section 32, Township 45, Range 24.She was 56 years 1 month and 25 days of age when she died.
