bullet  General Notes:

We are not sure where Ezekiel died or is buried. He may have made theTrail of Tears with Eliza and Samuel Craig as his wife Hannah did. Adeline gave conficting statements as to where he died. In her application she stateshe died in Georgia but later says he and Hannah came west but not as "Old Settlers". Ezekiel is named in Return J. Meigs diary as having 2croppers in 1814 in the Cherokee Nation East. He may or may not have been living atthe time of the Cherokee removal in 1835/1838. He may be buried in JohnsonCounty with Hannah.

6/95 - further research seems to indicate that Ezekiel died in theCherokee Nation in TN.
