CD information
This CD was created from pictures
that Nellie Cordray-Dyer
has and they were were scanned by her son Terry Collins.
I have
cropped the album pages into individual pictures and added notes
that were based on what was written in the margins.
The actual directory structure of the CD is
to protect and
preserve the "original" scanned images and provide easy reference.
The actual working directory is "Pictures" and the sub-directory of
"Old Family" is where the originals are written.
The small black
titles after the links are references to the pictures in the working
directories. The reference numbers are the original file number
plus
an alpha desiginator to indicate an individual picture from an album
page.
I hope to continue this work with other pictures
from other
sources, yes that was a hint to send pictures. Both of previous
generations and also "current" generations. The next CD will
have a
generation division by family. This will allow "searches" by
family
name or generation. For instance, I and all my cousins will be
linked
by generation and also family name. I have begun to organize
some of
this data and hope to start on that project mid-year 2000.
Enjoy the CD it and some actual genealogy information
are
posted on the "Roots" web site, and will continue to be updated as
long
as they are free hosts.
