30. Harald⁴ von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (Alexander Edward Christian Frederick³ , HRH The Princess Maud Charlotte Mary Victoria², Albert Edward¹ Wettin) was born Skaugum, a county estate outside of Oslo, Norway 21 February 1937.⁽³³⁷⁾

He married Sonja Haraldsen in Oslo, Norway, 29 August 1968.⁽³³⁸⁾ Sonja was born in Oslo, Norway 4 July 1937. Sonja is the daughter of Karl August Haraldsen and Dagny Ulrichsen. She was a student of French and English at Oslo University.⁽³³⁹⁾ She also was educated in Lausanne and at Cambridge.

She became engaged to Harald von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg 19 March 1968.⁽³⁴⁰⁾ At 34 years of age Sonja became the mother of Märtha Louise von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in Oslo, Norway, 22 September 1971. At 34 years of age Sonja became the mother of Unnamed von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in Oslo, Norway, 3 June 1972. At 36 years of age Sonja became the mother of Haakon Magnus von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in Oslo, Norway, 20 July 1973.

He resided at the property of the Roosevelts in Pooks Hill, Maryland between 1941 to 1945.⁽³⁴¹⁾ He became engaged to Sonja Haraldsen 19 March 1968.⁽³⁴²⁾ At 34 years of age Harald became the father of Märtha Louise von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in Oslo, Norway, 22 September 1971. At 35 years of age Harald became the father of Unnamed von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in Oslo, Norway, 3 June 1972. At 36 years of age Harald became the father of Haakon Magnus von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in Oslo, Norway, 20 July 1973.

Harald von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg and Sonja Haraldsen had the following children:

+ 63 i. Märtha Louise⁵ von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg was born 22 September 1971.

64 ii. Unnamed von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg was born in Oslo, Norway 3 June 1972. Unnamed died 3 June 1972 in in Oslo, Norway.

65 iii. Haakon Magnus von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg was born in Oslo, Norway 20 July 1973. He married Mette-Marit Tjessem-Høiby at the Lutheran Cathedral in Oslo, Norway, 25 August 2001. The ceremony was conducted by Bishop Gunnar Staalseth before a congregation numbering 800, including royalty.

Mette-Marit was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kongens gate, Kristiansand, Norway 19 August 1973. Mette-Marit is the daughter of Marit Tjessem and Sven Olav Bjarte Høiby. At 23 years of age Mette-Marit became the mother of Marius 1997. She became engaged to Haakon Magnus von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg 1 December 2000.

Haakon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, California, U.S.A., 24 May 1999. He majored in Political Science.

He became engaged to Mette-Marit Tjessem-Høiby 1 December 2000. He lit the touch at the opening ceremonies of the Lillihammer Olympics by sking down a mountain lighting the caldron with an arrow shot.
