Brian Boyd says "I visited St Michael's Church of Scotland (founded 1171, rebuilt 1897) in Gordon in 1999. There were four gravestones there in the name of Gibson dated 1833 to 1899. These were probably descendents of Elizabeth Gibson's family." Elizabeth had moved to Hull with her husband with her sons William and George around 1810.2
