Daniel ed. in common schools, occ. pres. of Sandy Lake Banking Co. and farmer. 20 yrs. director of Stoneboro Fair. Justice of the peace & other offices, Treasurer of the Economical Mutual Benefit Assoc. of Sandy Lake 8 yrs., on committee & treasurer in construction of the Meth. Epis. church of Sandy Lake costing $8,000, Repub., got his start by hoeing potatoes & splitting rails to buy land for $100 for 120 acres which he sold to A.G. Egbert for $4000 some 6 yrs later.
1) Harriet Jane Perrine (Hattie) m. 9/25/1876, Henry Claude Zeigler (11/28/1847-3/15/1832) b. Trumbull Co., OH, son of Elias & Elizabeth (Misner) Zeigler who had 4 ch. Elias was a carder & spinner with interest in woolen mills of Sharon, PA. H.C.’s first business was a book agency, then had a hotel at Foxburg, Clarion Co. with a livery. He began in oil business in Butler Co with prominent positions in pipeline co.’s & oil interests in PA, OH, NY, & IN, member of stock co. in Sandy Lake breeding road & draft horses. Repub., member Meth. Epis. ch., K. of H., A.O.U.W., & A.F.M

3. Mary Fowler (2/28/1821-8/15/1900) m. 1/26/1843, Richard Mears (11/11/1816-7/30/1892) son of Francis & Mary (Cooper) Mears of Eng., 5 of 10 ch. remained in 1888. Richard began on his own working on canal on the Shenango River, then 2 yrs. for Thomas Wright on his farm. Settled in Sandy Lake Twp., after m. & built log cabin, then frame house the following summer, later built their final house. Held Twp. offices including assessor, treasurer, supervisor,  & school director, was a stockholder of Stoneboro Fair.(See Story Section) (See Mears Family Outline)

Fowler (1858-1919) m.  Georgianna Peebles (1869-1958) dau. of John  M. & Margaret (Billig) Peebles.  In the late 50’s Mary Thompson, with her parents and sister, visited an elderly Georgianna Fowler, who was then living with her daughters, Jessie and Florence, in Pittsburgh, PA. Mary remembers her as very much a lady, who enjoyed children. The Fowlers kept a few toys such as pick-up sticks in their apartment to keep children occupied while the adults visited. Florence & Jessie were “spinster ladies,” neat and proper in appearance,  delightful people and we enjoyed visiting them.] (See Peebles Family Outline) (See Story Section)

4) Edwin A. Fowler (1899-1985) unmar., occ. car agency in Oil City, PA with brother Dick, also had farm near Titusville, PA. Their mother spent some time there, as well as Pittsburgh with her daus.
5) Florence Fowler (1908-1/22/1995) unmar., school principal, Pittsburgh, PA area, retired to Chapel Hill, NC with sister Jessie in 1970’s, extensive traveler
6) George W. Fowler, b. 1912, m. Isabel McIntosh, after college went to Charleston, WV, working 35 yrs. for Union Carbide as research chemist. retired to Chapel Hill, NC (See Story Section)
