SERVICES HELD IN MERCED TODAY FOR JOSEPH E. GUEST
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Ivers & Alcorn Mission Chapel in Merced for Joseph Edward Guest, 70, retired gas maintenance man, who died early this morning at his home on South Bear Creek Drive.
Rev. Donald H. Baldwin officiated at the funeral services. Burial followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
Guest was an old-time resident of Hornitos, moving to Merced in 1928 to work for the light and power company. Later he served as a service maintenance man for P. G. & E. in Merced.
He was a member of the Merced Methodist Church and of the Merced Camp N. 352 of the Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Angelina Guest, Merced; two daughters, Mrs. Loryne Blackstone and Mrs. Rhoda Snyder, both of Merced; and three grandchildren, Mrs. Janice Miller, Atwater, and Ronald Blackston and Irene Blackston, both of Merced.
