Stanley Ernest Brigden was born Nov. 16, 1925 on NE 15-4-25, the eldest son of Ernest and Grace Brigden. He attended school in Napinka, one year in Moline and Trembly School. On October 21, 1948 he married Margaret Arnold of Deloraine. Together they operated a mixed farm in the Purple Hill District and raised their family of five children. Stan will be remembered for his friendly smile, pleasant manner and the kind attention he paid to people and to the land and animals placed in his care. They retired to Melita in November 1992. Stan died April 25, 1996 at the Brandon General Hospital in his 71st year. Funeral services were held April 29, 1996 at the Victoria United Church, Melita Manitoba, Rev John Oldenkamp officiating.600
