Milton - Mrs. Iris Knight, 76, a longtime Milton resident, died Thursday morning in Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
Born May 20, 1903, in Ohio, the former Iris Arrington grew up in Welton, Iowa, and married Wilferd Knight on Aug. 7, 1928, in the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Iowa. He died in 1962. Mrs. Knight, a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, lived in Milton from 1928 to 1971 when she moved to Janesville Health Care Center.
Surviving are a son, John of Franklin; a daughter, Mrs. Theodore Snyder of Janesville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday at the Seventh-day Baptist Church from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. The Albrecht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Milton Junction - Wilferd Knight, 61, Rte. 1, Milton Junction, died Sunday as a result of a heart attack suffered while attempting to get his car out of a snow drift on Highway 59, one mile west of Milton Junction. He was alone in the car at the time. He had taken his wife to Mercy Hospital, Janesville, where she is employed, and the car became stuck en route to his home at Charley Bluff.
Mr. Knight was born June 21, 1899, in Garwin, Iowa, the son of John W. and Elizabeth Van Horn Knight.
He was married to Iris Arrington on Aug. 7, 1928. He was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church. He was a printer by trade, employed in recent years in Beloit.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Theodore Snyder, Janesville; one son, John, Edgerton; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Seventh Day Baptist Church, Milton, the Rev. Elmo Fitz Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Friends may call at the Albrecht Funeral Home Tuesday, 7-9 p.m.
