Rex. L. Kidder, 84, lifelong resident of Rock county and retired carpenter, died Saturday, Sept. 12, in Fairhaven Nursing Home, Whitewater, where he had been a resident since March 1, 1970.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. from the Albrecht Funeral Home with Elder Carl W. Jorgenson, Auburn, Wash., officiating. Burial was in the Milton Junction Cemetery with Charles McMillan, Leslie Striegl, Hal Deal, Charles Fisher, Dexter Munson and Clifford Janke as pallbearers.
Mr. Kidder was born in Fulton township, Rock county, Jan. 12, 1886, the son of Clarke and Elma Fross Kidder. He attended Rock county schools and was married Sept. 6, 1905 to Emma Albright and the couple resided on R. 2, Edgerton, in the Oakdale community, for 63 years prior to moving to Milton Junction. Most of his years were spent as a carpenter in the Milton area.
Mr. and Mrs. Kidder observed their 65th wedding anniversary Sept 6, 1970 at Fairhaven, where Mrs. Kidder is also residing.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer E. (Helen) Anderson, Milton; three grandchildren, Mrs. Carl (Marilyn) Jorgenson, Auburn, Wash., Mrs. Jon (Karen) Cole, Walla Walla, Wash., and Dr. Paul Anderson, Belleville, Wash.; five great-grandchildren, and one brother, Earl, R. 1, Milton Junction.
He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Mrs. Leta Oakley, and two brothers, Will and Clarke Kidder Jr.
