  Albion - Alva Edwin Crandall, 45, a patient at the Wisconsin General hospital in Madison since Monday, ended his life Thursday by cutting his throat with a razor.   Doctors attributed the act to melancholia.
  Mr. Crandall had been ill since last spring.
  He was born Dec. 7, 1879, and lived all his life on his father's farm, two miles east of here.   He was married to Miss Millie Nelson of Albion, there many years ago.   When a boy he attended Albion Academy.
  Mrs. Crandall and two children, Ethel and Howard, and his father, Luke B. Crandall, all making their home on the farm survive him.   He was an only child.
  Funeral service will be held at his home at 1:30 Sunday, with the Rev. Reuben J. Bailey of the Edgerton Methodist church, of which he was a member, officiating.   Burial will be in Albion Prairie cemetery.

  EDGERTON - Mrs. Nellie Crandall, 97, formerly of 710 W. Rollin St., Edgerton, died Friday at the Rock County Health Care Center, Janesville, after a long illness.
  The former Nellie Nelson was born Sept. 18, 1880, in Oakland Center, Jefferson County.   She was married to A. E. Crandall May 20, 1901, in Edgerton.   He died in 1925.   Mrs. Crandall was a member of United Methodist Church.
  Surviving are a son, Howard, of Edgerton; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Tetrault, Matthews, Ind.
  Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Bruni Funeral Home with burial in Albion Prairie Cemetery.   Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30 until service time.   Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church organ fund.
