MATTHIAS CASPARI, son of Matthias Caspari, was born circa 1640 and died at Filtzen, Rheinland, 25 Jun 1694.
He married at Wintrich, Rheinland, 30 Jan 1663, ELISABETHA SIMONIS, daughter of Nicholas Simonis of Filtzen.
Matthias was godfather in 1653 for a son of Matthias and Angela Mahr of Filtzen; in 1654 for a son of Johann and Catharina Lust of Filtzen. Elisabetha was godmother in 1663 for a son of Johann and Maria Haag of Filtzen. Since Matthias' brother Jacob had been godfather to a daughter of this same couple, it suggests that Maria Haag may have been a sister of theirs and a daughter of Matthias the first.

1. JACOB CASPARI, bapt. at Wintrich, Rheinland, 3 Feb 1664; godfather, Jacob Caspar; godmother, Maria Catharina Cremer, daughter of Matthias Cremer; d. at Filtzen 8 Feb 1743; m. at Filtzen, 22 Jan 1687, MARIA CATHARINA KAPPES, who was baptized at M�lheim, 9 Feb 1670, daughter of Matthias Kappes and Anna Maria Schell of Dusemont. She d. at Wintrich, 26 Apr 1731. They appear to have lived at Dusemont from 1690 until 1708. By 1722, when their daughter Susanna was married, they were living in Filtzen.
2. MATTHIAS CASPARI, bapt. at Wintrich, Rheinland, 21 Sep 1668; godfather, Matthias Gorgius of Kesten; godmother, daughter of Johann Pulcher.
3. JOHANN CASPARI, probably son of Matthias; d. at Neufiltzen, 12 Feb 1734; m. by 1700, SUSANNA KAPPES, daughter of Matthias Kappes and Anna Maria Schell of Dusemont.
4. BARBARA CASPARI, bapt. at Wintrich, Rheinland, 17 May 1674; godfather, Matthias, son of Hans Liechten; godmother, Barbara, daughter of Velten Bach, in whose place her mother acted, the wife of Velten Bach.
5. ANNA CATHARINA CASPARI, bapt. at Wintrich, Rheinland, 28 Sep 1680; godfather, son of Nicholas Dietzen; godmother, Anna Catharina, wife of Theobald Leicht of Filtzen.
