Hoppestown is an abandoned cemetery that is grown over in a pasture field near Proctor. There are many unmarked graves there, and few stones to yield much information when recorded.
The cemetery is located along Township Road 41051 through Proctor, behind "Brownies" trailer.
The families were wiped out by diptheria in 1880 according to the Lycoming County Cemetery Series Volume VII.
The only surnames listed in the Lycoming County Cemetery Series Volume VII is Dunlap, Hoppes and Probst.
