WILLIAMS

James William Williams (1821-1865), a boilermaker from Bristol, England married Mary Ann Baker (1822-1886) on October 25, 1840 at St Pauls Parish Church. On June 15, 1854 they set out from Liverpool, England with their four eldest sons on the "Queen of the East". They arrived in Melbourne in September 1854 and headed for the Mount Alexander Goldfields near present-day Castlemaine, settling by the Loddon River at Glenluce. They had 16 children altogether:

The seven other children died at a young age. James and Mary, together with most of their children are buried at Fryerstown Cemetery.

The children of George Thomas Williams and Elizabeth Dick, all born at Glenluce, were as follows:

The children of Charles Frederick Williams and Mary Donnes, all born at Glenluce, were as follows:

The children of John Alfred Williams and Julia Donnes were all born at Glenluce and all moved to Western Australia except for Henry. They were as follows:

The children of Anne Frances Williams and William Maclaren, all born at Fryerstown, were as follows:

The children of Martha Alice Williams and William Francis Miller were as follows:

The children of Philip Williams and Emily Stark, all born at Fryerstown, were as follows:
