  Samuel departed this earthly life on February 9, 1994, after a long, extensive illness.
  
  He leaves to his memory, his loving wife, Eva; one sister, Mrs. Henrene Clay of Chicago; three sons, Samuel (Ella), Harvey; and Ronald of Chicago; mother·in-law, Mrs. Fannie A. Griffin of Belzoni, Mississippi; four granddaughters: Paulette Kelly Rosalind Moss, Raquel Wells, and Veronica Wells; four great-grandchildren Paulette Wells, Paul Kelly Andre Moss and Patrick Moss; sister-in-law, Mrs. Alyce (LWL) Clark of Jackson, Mississippi; nine nieces, six nephews; and a host of relatives and friends
