She was born May 30, 1921, in Findlay, Ohio to Raymond and Alta (Rice) Sands, who preceded her in death. On July 12, 1941 she married D. Lytton (Lyt) Wells and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2009. Anita was a homemaker, an avid golfer and bowler. Anita was a mother and grandmother and a loving great-grandmother for all who knew her and will be sadly missed by all. Survivors include a son, Robert (Pennie) Wells of Rogers, MN, granddaughters, Wendy Wangen, Kelly Brock, grandson, Scott Wells and four great-grandchildren: Hunter, River, Sydney and Kasey. And a sister, Barbara (Sands) Gary of Findlay. She was also preceded in death by a sister Marilyn, and three brothers, Pete, Dick and Harold Sands. Anita was a life-long member of the First Christian Church and was active in the LOGOS program for many years. She also served for many years with the Women of the Moose in various roles and thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with her friends there and on the golf course in her weekly leagues. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2011 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the "Audubon Society" as Anita was an avid bird watcher and lover. Mrs. Wells was born in Guernsey-co, Dec. 11, 1854, and on her birthday in 1879, was married to Thomas Wells, who died in 1899.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Price funeral home in Kenton. Dr. Ross Wilhide will be in charge. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.

Emilie (Brown) Wells, 97, of North Fairfield, Ohio, passed away Monday evening, February 23, 2015 at her daughter's home in Darlington, Pennsylvania.
She was born August 26, 1917 in Akron, Ohio to the late Paul P. and Eva F. (Fox) Brown.
Emilie was a resident of this area since 1948 being a member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, and recently joined the North Fairfield United Methodist Church where her father, Rev. Paul P. Brown was minister from 1930 to 1934. Emilie was a member of the Excelsior and Modern Maids Farm Women's Clubs.
She graduated from Columbia Station High School in 1935, and from Heidelberg College in 1939.
Emilie was a dedicated teacher and taught for 27 years in North Fairfield; Norwalk's Cole and Pleasant Elementary schools; Perkins Furry where she held the position of Building Head for grades 1 thru 3, and Willard City School system in Steuben, Ohio. She received the Martha Holden Jennings Award for Excellent Teacher in 1967 and 1968.
Emilie is survived by her daughter and son in law, Joan and George Klein of Darlington, Pennsylvania, by her son, Richard Wells of Newark, Ohio, by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, by her brother, Delbert (Marie) Brown of San Marcos, Texas, and by her sisters in law, Marlene Brown of Lancaster, Ohio, and Dolores Brown of Wellington, Ohio, and Joyce Perry of Oberlin, Ohio, and Chris Perry of Leesburg, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John K. Wells, February 5, 2005, and by her brothers, Ralph Brown and Clarkson Brown, and foster brothers, Gerald Perry, and Dan Perry.
Friends may call on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the North Fairfield United Methodist Church, 105 West Main Street, North Fairfield, Ohio. Friends may also call on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the North Fairfield United Methodist Church. Rev. James Gaston will officiate.
