Labenski, retired as a regional director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service; both worked in Minneapolis.

Mr. Houghton, 34, is known as Ted. He was until last year the director of program and housing placement at the New York City Department of Homeless Services and is now a consultant on government funding to nonprofit organizations. His previous marriage ended in divorce.
