 Frank Stubblefield

Frank Stubblefield died in East St. Louis, Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7:30 am after an extended illness. He formerly lived Cairo, move to East St. Louis 23 years ago. He was a contractor in that city.

 He leaves his wife, Geneva three daughters, Mrs. W. M. Beard of St. Louis, Mrs. Charles Curtis of East St. Louis, Mrs. W. M. Salmon of Cairo, four sisters Mrs. Addie Kiser of Cairo, Mrs. Cora Ervin of East St. Louis, Mrs. Ella Harper of Paducah, Mrs Nora Atherton of Sikerton, MO, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and other relatives.

 The body will be brought to Cairo and taken to Karcher Brothers where friends may call after 4 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. The Rev Wayne Child pastor of the Washington Avenue Baptist church will officiate. After services the funeral party will motor to Mayfield cemetery, near Cunningham, KY, where internment will be in the family lot.

 Karcher Brothers are in charge of arrangements.

 BEARD Bertha Mae nee Stubblefield, 81, of Fairview Heights died Monday, Dec 22. Visitation after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Belleville. Schildnecht Funeral Home, Fairview Heights.

 

Bertha Beard

BEARD Bertha Mae nee Stubblefield, 81, of Fairview Heights died Monday, Dec 22 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville.

 Before her retirement she was associated with the former Farewell’s Confectionery in Fairview Heights for 20 years. She was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church in Bardwell, KY.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Beard on June 8 1964 and two sisters.

 She is survived by a son James E. Beard of Fayetteville, Ark,: two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Virginia) Grau of Lakeland Fla and Mrs. C. Robert (Mildred) Farewell of Fairview Heights; a sister Mrs. Atha Salmon of Paducah KY; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

 Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday dec 24 at the Schildnecht Funeral Chapel in Fairview Heights. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens.

 Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday Dec 23 at the funeral home.

 Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
