Leroy Anderson
Leroy Anderson, of Catoosa, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the age of 65. He was born Dec. 31, 1939 to William David and Etna Anderson, of Mounds.
Leroy is preceded in death by his father and mother; sister Lucille; and brother Kenneth Ray Anderson.
He married Debbie Perry on Nov. 7, 1980. Leroy attended Mounds schools and graduated in 1958. He worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft for 31 years. He finished his work for the last six years as lead man for research and development for Pryor Machine in Tulsa.
Leroy was best known in his leisure time, and on occasion at work, of his quick wit, storytelling, his love of golf and hunting and playing pool that he was well skilled at times to his up-most enjoyment. His love of God and his family and friends were well known to those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of the home; daughters Sherry Trammell, of Kiefer, Rhonda Roop, of Laguna Hills, Calif., and Tonya Roberts, of Glenpool; sons Ricky Anderson, of Tulsa, Paul Anderson, Jay Taylor and Mike Taylor, all of Catoosa; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister Norma Jean Long, of Sapulpa; brother Ernie Anderson, of Broken Arrow; and many nieces, nephews and lots of friends.
Services will be at Green Hill Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 with the Rev. Jim Carney officiating.

Marilyn A. Anderson found peace on Wednesday, April 14, 2004. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004 in Lula.
Marilyn was born Oct. 17, 1951 to Carl and Donna Cox, of Lakeside, Ariz. She grew up and Salem, Ore. and graduated in Naples, Italy.
She is survived by her parents, three children, Joe Anderson of Oklahoma City, Dawn Friend, of Sapulpa, and Tammy Nickerson, of Ada, as well as three grandchildren.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Friends and family are encouraged to make donations to Northside Nuring Center in Sapulpa in lieu of flowers.

Shirley Anderson
Shirley Anderson went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004.
She was born in Sapulpa Feb. 12, 1938, the eldest child of Louie and Frances Willingham, both deceased.
She spent most of her adult life in Victoria, Texas where she was employed at Groce Wearden, Kamin Furniture and Kovar Ford. She moved back to Sapulpa nine years ago with her husband of almost 33 years and was employed by Dr. David McElwain of Tulsa.
She loved and was loved by all the patients and care givers. She received so many cards and letters from them with best wishes and prayers during her battle with cancer. A special thank you goes out to Dr. McElwain, Connie Lane, his wife, John Lohrey, the staff at Cancer Care, Saint Francis Hospice and especially nurse Janie Bates for their compassion and loving care. Another special thank you goes to her life long best friend Joann Johnson, who was here for her at any time. Tommy Parks was so nice and helpful during this time of need.
She is survived by her husband Louis (Andy) Anderson of the home; her son Jeff Hankes, of Inez, Texas; her daughter Susie Blackaller, of Victoria, Texas; six brothers and sisters John Willingham, of Kellyville, Ed Willingham Sr., of Kellyville, Patti Weins, of Sapulpa, Vickie Wroten, of Eufaula, Kathleen Cheesman, of Kellyville, and James Willingham, of Sapulpa, and their wives and husbands.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Her pride and joy were here niece and nephew Lance and Cruz Sanchez, whom she worshiped and was "Nanna" to them. She will be missed by all but especially her family and her husband. She was a great mother, wife and her husband's best friend and staunchest supporter. We all loved her dearly.
Her nephews will serve as casket bearers.
Donations may be made to Saint Francis Hospice.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa with Pastor Ken Price officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa attended by family and close friends.

Victoria "Shorts" Rena Anderson
Victoria "Shorts" Rena Anderson, 17, died on June 3, 2003 at St. John Medical Center of Tulsa due to critical injuries she sustained in an automobile accident on May 21, 2003.
Victoria was born March 9, 1986 in Tulsa. She was the beloved daughter of David and Barbara Anderson; precious sister of Angelique Marie Anderson and Heather Nicole Anderson; loving aunt to Malacki David Weslyon Hood and Kassey Michelle Burns; and the loving granddaughter of G.H. and Christine Hogue and Jonah and Ruby Anderson.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a junior at Sapulpa High School. She enjoyed singing in the choir, loved riding four-wheelers and horses; and also enjoyed raising cattle and deer as her hobbies.
She loved and tried to protect her family and friends and always wanted them to be happy. Victoria "Shorts" Rena Anderson will be truly missed and cherished by her family and friends.
Victoria was preceded in death by her father, David Anderson; uncle William Dean Anderson; and grandpa G.H. Hogue.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Anderson, of Sand Springs; sisters Angelique Marie Anderson, of Sapulpa, and Heather Nicole Anderson-Burns, of Sand Springs; grandparents Christine Hogue, of Oilton, Jonah Anderson, of Sand Springs, and Ruby Anderson, of Mannford; nephew Malacki David Weslyon Hood; and niece Kassey Michelle Burns.

She was born April 10, 1934 in Dallas to Clarence L. and Dovie Ruth Pinson. She married John William Andrew May 5, 1960 in Texas. They moved to Kellyville in 1970.
She worked for Bartlett Collins Glass Company in Sapulpa. She liked fishing and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepdaughter Debra Gouldie.
Survivors include John Andrew, of Kellyville; daughters Rebecca Odell, of Bristow; Karin Jarvis, of Northbend, Wash.; stepdaughter Katie (Joni) Green, of Minneapolis, Minn.; two brothers W.L. Myra "Kathy" Catherine Angel, of Kiefer, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005 at the St. John Medical Center at the age of 68.
Myra was born Feb. 24, 1937 in Fort Smith, Ark., and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a retired L.P.N. having graduated from nursing school in Oklahoma City in 1963. She attended the Westside Freewill Baptist Church; owned the Grandma's Attic and loved to make dolls.
Survivors are her children, Wayne and Mary Murrel, of Sapulpa, Jim and Cathy Murrel, of Kiefer, Steve Murrell, of Tulsa, Melody and Lee Wideman, of Sapulpa, and Melaine and Mark Watson, of Kiefer; grandchildren Melinda Murrell, Donny Murrell, Jeremy Murrell, Eric Watson, Leah Watson, Sand Murrell, Carl Murrell and Michael Wideman; great-grandchildren Slade Murrell, Chandler Murrell, Dillon Murrell, Caden Watson, Zachery Watson and Hannah Rose on the way soon; brother Don Angel and wife Linda, of Tulsa and sister Shirley Dyer, of Tulsa.

Military graveside services for Edward Angielski, 63, of Morris, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 21 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla. under the direction of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service.
Mr. Angielski was born July 11, 1939, the son of Edward Victor and Louise Ann Angielski in Plymouth, Penn. He died April 16, 2003 at his son's residence in Sapulpa while under the care of his children.
He and Sandra Louise Angielski made their home in Morris and had one son, Mike Angielski of Sapulpa, a daughter, Frances Baca and husband Ralph of Liberty Mounds and three grandchildren, all surviving.
Mr. Angielski served his country with the United States Air Force for 20 years until he retired as a Master Sergeant / Air Traffic Controller in August of 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Interment was in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

ANGLIN -- Dennis, 55, Servant of Jesus Christ and beloved husband, son, brother, father friend. He entered into God's presence and his enternal life on February 8, 2003. He was born on July 14, 1947 to Orville and Wilma Anglin In Tulsa, OK. He married Carla Jones on April 10, 1981. Christ's love through Dennis was demonstrated to his large circle of family and his friends. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carla Anglin; mother Wilma Putty; sister, Glenda Foster and husband, Clyde; brothers, Orville "Butch" Anglin, Mike Anglin and wife Lillie. He served the Church of Jubilee, Free Will Baptist as an active member and Music Director. He was employed for several years at Sullivan-Schein Dental and was much esteemed by his co-workers and Tulsa area dentists. Dennis' life touched everyone he met. Dennis was a servant to his family, a guide to his children and a teacher to anyone seeking the Lord. He trusted Christ and looked forward to entering Heaven. He was fully ready to meet the Lord. Though we are saddened by his passing, we are comforted by his assurance of Heaven and rejoice in the blessing of his life on earth. He will always reside in our hearts and memory. KENNETH RAY ANGLIN
Kenneth Ray Anglin, age 68, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at his home in Sapulpa.
He was born Oct. 5, 1933 in Broken Arrow to Virgil and Opal Anglin. On April 11, 1953, he married Genola Patterson and settled down to raise a family. From 1953 to 1955, he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Concrete Ind. of Tulsa, where he worked as loader operator until his retirement in 1992.
As a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, he was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. He was a member of the senior citizens group and enjoyed playing pool at the center.
He liked to golf and to hunt, although no one can remember him coming home with a deer. He loved to watch his grandkids playing sports and would never miss the opportunity if he could help it.
He is survived by his loving wife, Genola, of the home; his mother, Opal Anglin of Sapulpa; his four children, Jim Anglin and his wife, Debi, of Idaho, Patricia Nichols and her husband, Danny, of Inola, Kay Lane and her husband, David, of Fort Gibson, and Sabrina Mills and her husband, Mitch, of Bristow; his brothers, Delmer Anglin and his wife, Jean, Pete Anglin and his wife, Runt, Jack Anglin and his wife, Pat; a sister, Mae Guest and her husband, Emmett; grandchildren Tiffany Johnson, Aaron Anglin, Derek Anglin, Amber Anglin, Stephen Lane, Joseph Lane, Jessica Mills, Melissa Mills, Daniel Nichols and Denise Nichols; and one great grandchild, Hailey Johnson.

Lawrence "Larry" Anglin
Lawrence "Larry" Anglin of Kiefer died Monday, June 24, 2002 at the Hominy Nursing Home at the age of 57.
Larry was born July 26, 1911 in Richmond, Calif. and had lived in this area most all ofhis life. He attended the Community Free Will Baptist Church in Kiefer, had served in the U.S. Navy and had been a machinist.
Mr. Anglin was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence E. Anglin Sr. and one brother, Michael Anglin.
Survivors are his mother, Lucille Lucas Gosney of Kiefer, three children, stepsister Debbie Gosney and stepbrother Harley Gosney.
Funeral services for Mr. Anglin have been set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Green officiating.

APPEL -- Mary Ellen Storts, born July 10, 1933 in Sapulpa, OK to Dowell Ray and Katherine Jennings Ray, their second child, having an older brother whom survives her. She was first married in 1955 to Dr. Daniel Storts. She met Dr. Storts, who was not yet a physician, while she was a nursing student at St. John Hospital School of Nursing. She received her nursing degree in 1954. Dr. Storts preceded her in death when he died of injuries he received in an automobile accident in 1979. She remarried William Appel who continues to reside in Fort Gibson, OK. She is survived by: her 4 sons, David Paul, Valrico, FL, Matthew Glenn, Imperial, CA, Daniel Gregory, Owasso, OK, and Donald Gary, Jackson, TN, all Eagle Scouts and children of her married to Dr. Daniel Storts, a physician with the former Glass-Nelson Clinic of Tulsa. She is grandmother to 15 children, one of whom preceded her. She is also survived by both her mother, Katherine McNeely of Fort Gibson, and a brother, David Eugene Ray of Phoenix, AZ. Mary Ellen was best known for her diligent efforts in 1977-1980 to secure an all emergency telephone system (911) for the Tulsa region. This culminated in success in February 1980 when Tulsa Mayor Jim Inhofe and the Tulsa City Council approved a grant to establish the first all emergency telephone system in Oklahoma. The 911-telephone number has been continued and elevated to a prime example of citizen involvement in a civic project. Governor Nigh appointed Mary Ellen to a statewide 911 committee, resulting in the system being established in place for the entire state of Oklahoma. She then consulted with Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon and the City of Chicago in the establishment and development of their 911 systems. She served as the President of the Auxiliary of the Tulsa Medical Soceity and the Women's Auxiliary to the Oklahoma Medical Society; was active in Republican political campaigns; and worked with Tulsa's Red Glove Revue for years. Mary Ellen enjoyed square dancing for many years, where she served as an officer of several square dance clubs and was an inspiration to many as she overcame the diseases that eventually claimed her. She will be missed by her many square dance friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Gibson, OK. As a family, we will miss our catalyst and constant mentor. APPLEGATE, Alma -- Alma Gladys Applegate, 90, of Sapulpa, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 in Tulsa. She was born Dec. 31, 1914 in Gassville, Ark.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs.
Funeral services for Charlie W. Applegate, 68, retired egg farm operator, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Linden Street Christian Church with the Rev. Howard Reather officiating.
Applegate died Monday after an extended illness.

Inez Hopper Applegate
Inez Hopper Applegate died Nov. 6, 2004 in Kellyville at the age of 87. She was born in Bowden Nov. 9, 1916 to Henry Hopper and Louisa Hutson Hopper.
She graduated from high school and the Tulsa Business School. She had lived in Kellyville since 1969 coming from California. A homemaker, Inez also had her own janitorial service before her retirement. She was a member of the Deerwood Faith Fellowship "In His Footsteps" ministry. She was a member of the "O.S.T." C.B. club and loved gardening and farm life.
Inez is survived by one son John Michael Applegate, of Frost, Texas; four daughters Sunny J. Cully and her husband Bud, of Modesto, Calif., Marilynn Dunn and her husband Ben, of Oneals, Calif., Sherrie L. Lucas and her husband Thomas, of Kellyville, and Jacqueline I. Fiscalini and her husband Steve, of Modesto, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren together with a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of more than 50 years, John, who died in 1994, three sisters, one brother and one granddaughter.

Beulah Irene Armitage, 75, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2004 at her home. She was born Oct. 8, 1928 in Bristow and had lived in this area all of her life.
She retired from Bartlett Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Sapulpa.
She is survived by her husband Jay "Bud" Armitage, of the home; children Karen and Ronald Thompson, of Sapulpa, Ruby and Roger Huston, of Tulsa, Jay and Sandy Armitage, of Sapulpa, Larry and Beulah Armitage, of Bristow, Dorothy and Mike Moss, of Tulsa, and Bryan Armitage, of Texas; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine Kerley, of Bristow; brothers Ernest Dotson, of Sapulpa, Billy Dotson, of Porter, and Bob Dotson, of Borger, Texas.

E.J. Armstrong, of Sapulpa, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at the age of 77.
Mr. Armstrong was born June 28, 1925 in Pawhuska and moved to Sapulpa nine years ago from Glenwood Spring, Colo.
He married Bonnie Brinkley on May 14, 1966 and was the retired owner of Canyon Cleaners.
He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II and was a graduate of Pawhuska High School and the University of Tulsa in 1953.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Pawhuska Masonic Lodge and the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Archie and Nellie Taylor Armstrong.
Sruvivors are his wife Bonnie, of the home; children Monica Armstraong, of Tulsa, Jon Armstrong, of Woodbridge, Va., and Jamie Armstrong, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren Ryan Peters, Greg Armstrong and Phillip Armstrong; sisters Roberta Lee Warehime, of Hominy, and Euna Fern Norman, of Odessa, Texas.

Margie Ann Danderson Armstrong
Margie Ann Danderson Armstrong was born Nov. 18, 1932 to Thomas Frement and Opal Lee (Rains) Danderson at East Allison in Atoka County.
On July 5, 1950 she married Otah Ruel Armstrong at Atoka. They lived in California, Tennessee, Okmulgee and moved to Sapulpa in May of 1956. Margie was a member of Southside Christian Church. She worked at Sandra's School of Dance for more than 30 years. She loved to sew and crochet. She designed and sold patterns to pattern companies. She enjoyed making crafts and she made and sold them at the Dewey Street Market where she had a craft space. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She had spent many hours researching her family history. She loved family reunions and family holidays. Her favorite Bible verse was, "Let us not leave with words or tongue, but with action and truth."
Margie is survived by her husband, Otah, of the home; daughter Karen Oldenburg and husband Chuck, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren Jeremiah Armstrong, Becky Topia, Rachel Chase, Casey Oldenburg and Forrest Oldenburg; four great-grandchildren Maya and Alex Topia, Jasmine Chase and Aldan Armstrong; sister Helen Harris; brothers Thomas and Leon Danderson; several nieces and nephews and many cousins who were all special to her.
Margie was preceded in death by her son Otah Ruel Armstrong; parents; brother Otis (Buster) Danderson; and sister LaVerne Amos.
Memorial services for Mrs. Armstrong have been set for 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 in Southside Christian Church with Dennis Goad officiating.

Robert "Bob" Armstrong
Robert "Bob" Armstrong, 73, of Tulsa, passed away in October 2004 after his short battle with cancer. Bob was born in Peggs on Feb. 18, 1931.
After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he made his profession as a truck driver. He lived in the Salina and Pryor areas most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Lena Armstrong; two brothers John Clayton and Omega Armstrong; sister Vera Harris and son Bobbie Armstrong.
He is survived by companion Ruby King, of the home; two daughters Wanda Goodell and husband Jackie, of Tulsa, and Karen Custer, of Forsyth, Mo.; two sons Donnie Armstrong and wife Sandra, of Tulsa, and Jeffrey Armstrong and wife Pamela, of Oktaha; one sister Fern Gates and husband J.D., of Pryor; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family had visitation from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004 at Wesley Smith Funeral Home at 1208 S. Main in Sapulpa.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor with burial following at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leona Hamilton, Muenster, Texas, and nieces.

Ilene Delores Asher, of Sapulpa, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 at the age of 68. Mrs. Asher was born April 6, 1936 to Don and Myrtle McDonald McCarty in Collinsville. She had lived in Sapulpa since 1954. Lewis Oliver Ashton
Lewis Oliver "Red" Aston was born Nov. 17, 1912 in Burlington, Kans. to Oliver and Verna Thompson Ashton.
He married Era Mae (Cook) Lakey.
He moved to Sapulpa when he was 1 year old. Mr. Ashton delivered the Sapulpa Herald for one year when he was 10 years old. He worked for Oklahoma Power and Light in Sand Springs. He also worked with his father in his upholstery shop on Water Street for several years as well as for his uncle at Thompson motors, Gibble Gas, Southern Ice Plant, Oral Roberts University and Williams Furniture.
He loved to go to Braum's with his kids on Wednesday and to the Kellyville Senior Citizen Center.
He is preceded in death by one son, Lewis; two stepsons, Billy Lakey and Kenneth Lakey; one grandson; one great-grandson; his parents; two brothers, Dale and Leroy Ashton; and two sons-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, Era Mae Ashton, of the home; his children, Fran and Gil Maestas, Judy and Lloyd Hutchins, Joyce and Jack Morris, Donna and Jim Shimp, Coleen and R.C. Dearman, Glenda and Buddy Price, Wanda and Davie Miller, Jimmy and Judy Lakey and Jerry and Raelene Lakey; one sister Dorothy Hiett, 55 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many many friends.

Donald Dean Austin, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, Ridgecrest California.
Born August 7, in Bristow, Oklahoma, Donald served in the U.S. Army 1953 - 1955 and was a retired Tow Truck Driver.
Donald enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved taking care of his beautiful roses. Donald also loved tinkering around in his work shop. He will be greatly missed by all who knew, loved and respected him.
Donald is survived by daughter Donna and husband Ray Cordoza of Paso Robles, CA; sister Ruby and husband Jerry Childress of Bakersfield, CA; brother Owen D. JOHNIE AUSTIN
Johnie Austin, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the age of 75.
He was born on July 12, 1927 in Guthrie, Okla. He served in the Navy during World War II.
In 1950 he married the love of his life, Hazel Blake, and for the last 40 years they have made Sapulpa their home.
He loved baseball, and for many years he coached his son's little league team, and you would never catch him missing one of Phil or Barbara's basketball games.
One of Johnie's proudest moments was winning Sapulpa's first table tennis tournament in 1966. He was past president of the Creek County Bow Hunters Association and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Johnie retired from McDonnell Douglas after 32 years in the aircraft records department.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; son Phillip and his wife Kay, daughter Barbara Bullinger, and her husband Steve; grandchildren Curtis and Matthew Austin and Erin Bullinger; step-grandchildren Angela Anglin, Dr. Robin Cox, Tori Whitecotton, Tiffany Pollard asnd Jeff Bullinger. Johnie also had six step-great-grandchildren, Dillon and Madison Farrow, Hayden and MacKala Bullinger and Colton and Dru Anglin.
Johnie was a loving, kind and generous man and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
