Carthage, Illinois, July 2, 1902, Hetty's column Contributed by Cora R. Swift Leamah [sic] Harper was born at Harper Ferry, Va., about the year 1810, died at her home near Joetta, June 23, 1902, aged 91 years. While yet in her girlhood the family moved to Champaign Co., Oh, where she was afterward united in marriage to David Frank, June 10, 1832. Five children, twenty grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren survive her. Of the seven children born to them the following five mourn the loss of an affectionate mother: William, of Pottowattomie Co., and Marion, of Crawford Co., Kas.; John, of Ft. Green; Mrs. Kate Hardy, of Chicago, and Mrs. Lucinda White, of Joetta, Joseph and Theodore preceding their mother by many years. About the year 1845 she united with the Baptist church near Urban [Urbana], Ohio, her husband uniting with the same denomination later. In 1845 they came from Ohio to Illinois and located in.....
