Orange Brewery Location

Orange Brewery Location

The Orange Brewery was located at 119 Hill Street in Orange New Jersey, on the corner where Hill Street once met Prince Street.  It was just a block away from the section of Main Street near the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.  The site was approximately 190 feet wide and 490 feet long, a size of 2.13  acres.  Today a block of commercial properties located immediately east of the Hickory Street/Freeway Drive West intersection occupies the exact site where the brewery once stood.  US Route 280 now nearly intersects this location. The site's adjacent proximity to the Morris & Essex railroad tracks was likely an important reason for the Winters in choosing this location, in order to easily transport the finished product to market, and in order to receive delivery of the necessary manufacturing and production materials and resources for brewing purposes.
