14 Apr 1799 arrived Spithead from the Downs with a convoy.

11 May 1799 in company with the Hired Armed Cutter Flirt re-captured the Brigs Betsey, of Liverpool, and the Four Sisters, of Sunderland. Jul 1799 salvage monies due from the re-capture of the 2 Brigs is due for payment.

3 Jul 1799 arrived Spithead from the eastward, with flat-bottomed boats, for the intended secret expedition.

18 Mar 1800 arrived Spithead the Eugenie, 18, Captain Somerville, with a convoy from the Downs.

19 Mar 1800 departed Spithead on a cruise.

2 Jun 1800 arrived Spithead the Circe, Plover, Eugenie, and Osprey, with fifteen flat-bottomed boats from the Downs.

18 Jun 1800 departed Spithead the Terpsichore, Eugenie, and the Osprey, on a cruise.

5 Apr 1801 brought into Dover the Juno, of Aberdeen, Wallace, master, with corn for Penzance, which was taken by a French privateer near Dungeness, and was retaken by the Eugenie near Dieppe, which now returned to the Downs.

11 Apr 1801 departed the Downs on a cruise ; the wind blows hard N.E.

6 May 1801 arrived Spithead with a convoy from the Downs.

9 May 1801 departed Spithead with a convoy for the Downs.

1 Jun 1801 arrived Spithead with Spanish prisoners, from the Downs.

11 Jun 1801 departed the Downs this morning with the outward bound convoy for Portsmouth.

6 Jul 1801 arrived in the Downs, from a cruise.

11 Jul 1801 departed the Downs, the Hound, with the Eugenie, on a cruise.

15-16 Aug 1801 experienced a number casualties amongst her ship's company when the ship's boats, with others, were involved in an unsuccessful operation in the Bay of Boulogne to cut out an enemy brig which had been secured by the enemy with chain. Casualties were as follows : 3 seamen killed ; one officer (Mr, William Basset, Acting Lieutenant), and 5 seamen wounded. Total 9.

1 Sep 1801 arrived in the Downs the sloop Eugenie and the gun vessel, Bold, from the coast of France.

5 Sep 1801 to be stationed off Walmer Castle, where she is to be based in order that she can inspect all vessels entering the Downs.

9 Sep 1801 the Eugenie and Diligence, with seven gun brigs, several cutters, and luggers, under the command of Captain Somerville, departed the Downs for the Coast of France.

19 Sep 1801 arrived in the Downs the Eugenie and Diligence sloops ; Sulphur bomb ; Charger, Bold, and Ferreter, gun-vessels, and remain.

24 Sep 1801 departed the Downs a small squadron made up from the sloops Eugenie, Capt Somerville, in command ; and the Diligence ; the Bold and Ferriter, gun vessels ; and Lively, cutter, on a cruise off the Coast of France.

13 Oct 1801 returned to Walmer Roads with the above squadron from off Boulogne, blowing hard.

2 Nov 1801 when off Deal, in the Downs, a strong gale blowing, the Alkmaar's jolly boat, with 5 men on board, upset under the stern of the Eugenie, when attempting to return to the Alkmaar, only 2 of the men being able to save themselves, apparently climbing up the stern of the Eugenie.

29 Nov 1801 during the recent gales the Eugenie, Capt Somerville, with the Anacreon, dropped down from the Downs to the Point of the Foreland, and anchored as near as possible, with safety, to a Swedish East Indiaman, to render every assistance required.

10 Dec 1801 remains in the Downs a dozen RN vessels accompanied by a number of East Indiamen ; wind West, moderate.

20 Dec 1801 remains in the Downs.

4 Jan 1802 departed this morning the Downs for Sheerness with the Overyusel.

6 Jan 1802 arrived Sheerness having experienced a rough passage.

14 Jan 1802 arrived in the Downs, from Chatham, having accompanied the Overyusel to be paid off.

15 Feb 1802 departed the Downs on a cruise.

22 Feb 1802 departed the Downs on a cruise, in company with the Gannet and Vixen.

12 Apr 1802 arrived in the Downs from a cruise.

20 Apr 1802 Adm Lutwidge struck his flag yesterday evening, and this morning the St Albans departed the Downs for Chatham, to be paid off, and the Amazon, frigate ; Eugenie, sloop ; Conflict, Monkey, and Vixen gun-vessels remain.

25 Apr 1802 departed the Downs.

1 May 1802 arrived in the Downs from a cruise.

3 May 1802 the Amazon remains in the Downs, with the sloop Eugenie, and gun brigs Monkey and Conflict.

5 May 1802 departed the Downs on a cruise.

16 May 1802 remain in the Downs the frigates Amazon, and Phoebe ; sloop Eugenie, brig Anacreon ; and gun brigs Monkey, Vixen and Conflict.

20 May 1802 departed the Downs for Spithead.
