10 Apr 1841 Royal Marines. Lieutenant J. K.. Wilson (now serving on board the Princess Charlotte) is appointed adjutant of Portsmouth division, vice Dwyer, promoted ; Captain James Uniacke, and Lieutenants C. G. Hamlet and George Elliott, to the Cornwallis.

22 May 1841 Royal Marines, the following obtained commissions in the corps : Mr. Robert Boyle ; J. H. Joliffe ; and on Wednesday, Messrs. C. H. Wilcox and Henry Spratt were examined and entered as Marine Cadets. 22 May 1841 Royal Marines, The four vacant Adjutancies in the corps have been filled by the appointments of Lieutenants J. K. Wilson and G. C. Langley, to Portsmouth division ; Lieutenant A. B. Stransham, to Woolwich division ; Lieutenant J. H Wright, to Plymouth division ; and Lieutenant W. G. Mahon is placed on the staff at Pembroke vice Langley ; Captain Evans, and Lieutenants March and Hockings, to the Dublin.

21 Aug 1841 Royal Marines, Lieutenant Hocker, to be Quarter Master at Plymouth.

23 Aug 1841 The following gentlemen passed their examination and obtained commissions as Second Lieutenants in the Royal Marines : Mr. D. J. Sloggett, H. B. Leonard, G. Webb, W. M. Mansell, and W. B. Haberfield.

23 Aug 1841 Royal Marines, The following obtained Cadetships in the corps : Messrs. J. S. Downrnan, H. S. Buck, S. B. Puddicombe, Michael Spratt, C. T. F. Onslow.

28 Aug 1841 Surgeon Thomas Miller (from the Queen), appointed to the surgeoncy of the Plymouth division of Royal Marines, vice Mr. Ryan, who retires with the rank of Deputy Inspector.

4 Oct 1841 2 Oct 1841 Royal Marines : Lieutenant Shoveller, appointed to the Volage.

4 Dec 1841 Surgeon Dr. S. Irvine, appointed to the Portsmouth division of Royal Marines, vice Quarrier.

18 Dec 1841 Mr. G. M. Pasco has this week passed his examination at the Royal Naval College for a commission in the Royal Marines.

25 Dec 1841 Royal Marines : Mr. G. M. Pasco, Second Lieutenant, appointed to the Plymouth division.

Jul 1890 Corporal William Anderson, of the Royal Marine Artillery ; Sergeant 0. T. Walker, and Private F. P. J. Radford, of the Royal Marine Light Infantry, awarded LS & GC Medal.
