1870 Coast Guard Service, Kingstown.

Oct 1870 laid up in reserve at Keyham and her engine and boilers refitted.

17 Apr 1871 departed Plymouth Sound to carry-out machinery trials.

21 Apr 1871 moved into the north basin at Devonport.

5 Dec 1875 Recommissioned at Malta.

20 Jun 1879 Mediterranean (On the way home to Devonport).
