27 Aug 1796 captured the French privateer Requin near the Isle of Wight.

The following appeared in the London Gazette :
Extract of a Letter from Admiral Sir Peter Parker, Commander in Chief of HM Ships and Vessels at Portsmouth, to Evan Nepean, Esq., dated on Board the Royal William, at Spithead, August 28, 1796.
The Telemachus Cutter brought in Yesterday Evening a small French Privateer, of Four Swivels and Twenty-two Men, and also a Smuggling Vessel ; both which were taken the same Day at the Back of the Isle of Wight.

24 Feb 1797 Telemachus and Hind captured the French privateer Mandarin in the Channel.

28 Jun 1797 captured the French privateer Success in the Channel.

24 Jul 1797 captured the French privateer Hardi off Cape La Hogue.
The following appeared in the London Gazette :
Telemachus Cutter, Spithead, July 25, 1797
Sir, I Have .the Honor to Inform you, that Yesterday, at Half past Two o'clock A. M. off Cape La Hogue, His Majesty's Cutter under my Command captured Le Hardi, a French Lugger Privateer, mounting Four Carriage Guns, Small Arms, &c. and manned with Thirty Men; she had been out from Cherbourg about Five Hours, and had not taken any Thing, and I have the Pleasure to add, that I retook Two Merchant Brigs the same Day, that had been captured by a French Privateer. I have the Honor to be, &c. &c. &c. Thomas Newton. To: Admiral Sir Peter Parker

29 Sep 1797 captured the French privateer Jean Bart, off Portland.

16 Mar 1798 Telemachus and Seagull captured the French privateer Sophie in the Channel.

30 Apr 1798 captured the French privateer Sans Souci in the Channel.

1 Jan 1799 CO : Lt T Newton ; stationed : Portsmouth (N.C.).

26 Dec 1799 - 22 Jan 1800 the Boadicea and Severn, and the Pigmy and Telemachus Hired Cutters, in Company of the Anson and Sheerness, captured Le Saint Francois, Saint Pierre de Carnac, Brig, Name-unknown, and the Sloop Anna Louisa.

20-22 Jul 1801 ships' boats of the Doris, Beaulieu, Uranie and Robust cut out the French 20-gun ship-corvette Chevrette. Lieutenant Spencer, placed his Majesty's hired cutter Telemachus in the Goulet, and prevented any assistance, by boats, the enemy might have attempted.

24 Mar 1800 Plymouth, departed the Telemachus, cutter, and Sly, lugger, with a convoy.

2 Jan 1801 prize monies resulting from the captures made during the period 26 Dec 1799 - 22 Jan 1800 are ready to be paid.

8 Mar 1801 arrived Plymouth Sound the Eliza French cartel from Nantz to Falmouth, where she was carried by the English sailors, and convoyed here by the Telemachus cutter, having on board the celebrated Mons. Carnon, who escaped a few weeks since, went to Falmouth and returned here without a passport, and by some connivance escaped.

29 Jul 1801 arrived Plymouth this morning the Ulysses, of Stockholm, with iron and deals, bound for Morlaix, detained and sent in by the Lapwing and Telemachus.

21 Aug 1801 came into Plymouth Sound.
