9 Feb 1856 Mid HL Perceval apptd ; at Chatham

23 Feb 1856 At Chatham. Being fitted for sea with the utmost despatch. To be fitted with 2 Lancaster guns ; 68 prds ; 95 cwt. each ; which will be worked on pivots on the foreside of the funnel ; on on each side ; also on pivot 32 pdr. of 56 cwt. to be carried forward ; the other two are to be light 32 pdr.

24 Mar 1856 The Wanderer, screw gunboat, arrived today from the eastward and joined the flotilla here.

28 Mar 1856 The Wanderer, 4, screw despatch vessel, returned to Spithead late last night from Portland Roads. She came into harbour to day to fill up with coal.
