"On 6 July 1772, when Johann Quirin Langenfeld was converted from Judaism to Catholicism he took the name of the town for his surname and since Saint Quirinus was the patron of the 14th century church in Langenfeld, he adopted 'Quirin' as his baptismal name."
Bill also adds the following in regard to birth of Johann Q. Langenfeld;
