1880 Soundex Census for Arkansas

This search turned up only the families in Clay County with children under 10. There may be other Hildebrands\Helterbrands in Ark. in 1880 but they did not have children under 10.

* Note: See Miscellaneous Mississippi Records

The two families of interest to the Missouri searches are the first one, John Hildebrand, b. 1828 in MO and the Mary, b. 1842 in Ark. Mary appears to be a widow of a Helterbrand b. in MO, we could say about 1840. She was married about 1868, right after the Civil War. These families may belong to descendants of Jonathan in Jefferson County or Benjamin in Madison County. The 1870 Census of Clay Co., AR would be of interest.
