My connection with this village is through my gt g'father Charles BRUCE who was living here in 1871, with his brother James and family.[Charles' first wife, Ann HAMMOND, hailed from here]. Two of their children were born in the village(one was baptised here and one was buried here). In addition, my 2x gt g'mother Ann BRUCE was living and working in the village in 1881. |
