Timberscombe, Somerset

My connection with this village is through my 7x gt g'parents Robert & Joan CALLAWAY who were married in the parish church on 14 Feb 1715. They had at least 7 children here including my 6x gt g'father Henry, who married Joan CORNISH here on 31 Oct 1742. My branch of the CALLAWAY family continued here in Timberscombe with the marriage of my 4x gt g'mother Mary CALLAWAY to John BROWNING,. Mary died and was buried in Timberscombe in 1832. Their daughter Harriet had moved to the New Forest by 1827, as this is the year she married John SIMS in Ringwood parish church.
