ELMER JOSEPH WILSHEISER
Born Feb. 2, 1872, Claiborne, OH. Age 22, married, residence Huntington, Ind. In case of injury notify Isaac Wilsheiser, Claiborne, OH. Formerly with NYPANO RR as brakeman for a term of eight months. Recommended by J.H. Dull. Enters the service of the Chicago & Erie as freight brakeman, July 31st, 1894.

Suspended 7 days for misplacing switch at 51st Street for engine 331, January 19th, 1896, resulted in switch being run through. Suspended 15 days from Jan. 7th for failing to see that cars on track 20 did not clear 21 lead, when backing down that lead to couple on to his train Dec. 21st, 1896 resulted in cab being torn off engine 694.

Discharged Dec. 26th, 1900 for insubordination. Refused to help coal an engine. Reinstated March 14th, 1901, account previous good record and as a matter of clemency, the General Committee of the B of RT acknowledging him guilty of insubordination.

Assigned to service as extra passenger brakeman, Oct. 11, 1901. Surrendered passenger rights as of Nov. 7, 1901. Promoted to conductor, April 2, 1903. Resigned on Jan. 21, 1904.
