ED MITCHELL
Age 32 years, March 13, 1889, married, 6 children. Entered service as brakeman, Aug. 17, 1887.

Assessed $2.42 for damaging car by careless handling at Markle on July 25th, 1889. Promoted to extra conductor Oct. 3rd, 1891.

Cut his engine off at Leiters on 2nd 83, Oct. 21st, 1892, and went to rear end of train to throw out a bad order car, head end ran out on main track. No. 14 collided with it, resulting in bad wreck and finally death of engineer D. Frederick and fireman J. Metz of No. 14. Suspended 20 days. Discharged for excessive use of intoxicants at Chicago, July 4, 1893.
