P.J. HENRY
Age 26, married, residence Hammond, IN. Entered the service as yard clerk at Hammond, Nov. 7, 1894. Promoted to switchman Dec. 12th, 1895. Put back as yard clerk on account of taking off an engine April 25, 1897. Placed on road as extra brakeman, June 19th, 1897. Again transferred to Hammond yard as switchman, Dec. 20, 1898. Promoted to yard conductor Dec. 20, 1898. Gave engine up of his own accord March 8th, 1899, saying to yardmaster Fetterly he would rather "help" than have charge. Again promoted to yard conductor April 27th, 1900, taking the position on request of trainmaster. Resigned Feb. 7, 1902.

Reemployed May 14, 1902 as switchman, Hammond, IN Yard. Discharged May 19, 1902, reduction in force. Reemployed July 4, 1902 as switchman, Hammond.
