Robert was born at
Tipton, Tipton Co., Indiana, on 13 October 1920. He was the son of
Shirley Blaine Dellinger and
Rebecca Haycock Baynes. He married
Ida Marie Poynter at
Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana, on 3 December 1943. He married
June May Sarver at
Montgomery Co., Indiana, on 22 May 1972. Robert Lowell Dellinger died on 16 July 2003 at
Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana, at age 82. He was New Tag Obituary from the Crawfordsville newspaper:

Oct. 13, 1920 - July 16, 2003
Robert Lowell Dellinger, 82, Crawfordsville, died 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Dellinger retired in 1982 from the wire drawing dept. at Mid-States Wire after 23 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a 1939 Crawfordsville High School graduate. He attended First Baptist Church, Crawfordsville.
He was born Oct. 13, 1920, at Tipton, to Shirl B. and Rebecca H. Baynes Dellinger. He married Ida Marie Poynter on Dec. 3, 1943, at Crawfordsville. She died in 1962. He married June Sarver Snelling on May 26, 1972, at Waynetown. She died in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, John R., Crawfordsville, and David L., Indianapolis; a daughter, Brenda K. Snelling, Bloomington; three brothers, Hartley, Indianapolis, Thomas, Duncanville, Texas, and George, Jefferson City, Mo; two sisters, Shirley Aram, Springfield, Mo. and Rebecca Van Horn, Arkansas; and five grandchildren.
A brother, Eugene, and a sister, Ruthanna Powell, are deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday in Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Michael Wren officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call 4 - 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home."
